There are two Trekking routes to Ali and Bedini Bugyal. Trekking to Ali Bugyal and Bedni Bugyal can begin at Lohajung Pass or Wan Village. Lohajung is well-connected by road and serves as the final roadhead.

Day 01: Kathgodam to Lohajung (Drive- 265 km, 10Hrs)
To go to Kathgodam, use an overnight train. There are two ways to go to Lohajung from Kathgodam. If you are in a bigger group, taking a cab to Lohajung will save you a lot of time. If you are on a tight budget, you can go by public transport from Kathgodam to Gwaldam via bus/shared cab and then from Gwaldam to Lohajung. Lohajung has affordable lodging options.
Day 02: Lohajung to Didina village (Trek- 10 km)
Day 03: Didina village to Ali Bugyal (Trek- 10 km)
Begin your trek early in the morning to appreciate Ali Bugyal’s true beauty. The route will take you to a lush woodland once you pass the way to the vast green carpet. The scent of oak trees will undoubtedly captivate you. As one climbs higher, the geography changes due to the advent of coniferous trees such as deodar, pine, and spruce. Day 04: Ali Bugyal to Bedni Bugyal (Trek- 3 km)
This is the day your three-day wait will come to an end. Trek from Ali Bugyal to Bedni Bugyal (3300m) over a large area of beautiful alpine meadows. The breathtaking vista of the Himalayan grazing area and snow-capped Himalayan peaks will bring you to life. Thousands of colorful flowers are in full bloom in Bedni’s lovely meadow.
Day 05: BedniBugyal– Wan - Lohajung (Trek- 12 km | Drive – 12 km)
After breakfast, pack your belongings and take about turn to Wan Village. The trek is downward and takes around 3-4 hours to finish. Local taxis will take you the last 12 km to Lohajung from Wan. Have supper and spend the night in Lohajung.
Day 06: Lohajung–Rishikesh/Kathgodam
Best Time To Visit Ali Bedni Bugyal
The best time to go on the Ali Bedni Bugyal Trek is between mid-March and June (pre-monsoon/summer) and early September to the end of October (post-monsoon/autumn). However, the autumn season is regarded as ideal for trekking and photography enthusiasts because of the beautiful blue sky and favorable weather conditions. The trek descends for 7 kilometers from Lohajang Pass before gently ascending for 4 km to Wan village. By Train:- The nearest railway station to Lohajung is Kathgodam, which is 222 km away. However, if you intend to go via the Garhwal region, Rishikesh train station is also a viable alternative. Local taxis are available at both train stations to take you to Lohajung.
