Birthi Falls
The Birthi Falls, located at a distance of 34 km from Munsiyari, is a cascading waterfall cascading from a height of 126 meters. Birthi Falls in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state is a huge waterfall that is clearly visible from a long distance. The waterfall is about 14 km from Tejam situated on the Thal-Munsiyari road. The fresh climate, cool breeze, lush greenery, and completely natural environment are some of the major attractions of the waterfall area.
The waterfall is surrounded by dense forest, which adds to its beauty. Khaliya Top, Milam Glacier, Kalamuni Top, Maheshwari Kund, Thamari Kund, Madkot, Thal, Berinag, and Ralam Glacier are some of the nearby places to visit. From the side of the road, one has to trek to reach the bottom of the Birthi Falls. It takes around 15-20 minutes to reach the waterfall but it is worth your effort.

Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit Birthi Falls is between the months of September and June. The region receives heavy rainfall from the month of July. Avoid visiting this area during monsoon.
How To Reach
By Road:- Government and private buses ply from Delhi, Dehradun, Almora, Pithoragarh, and Haldwani to Munsiyari. However, one has to check the timings of the buses. Since the journey to Munsiyari is very long, buses and taxis are available from Haldwani and Kathgodam only in the morning.
By Train:- Kathgodam (278 km) and Tanakpur (274 km) are the two options to reach Munsiyari via train. After reaching the railway station, one has to get on the bus or book a taxi for a further journey. The journey to Munsiyari is quite long, so it is good to break the journey into several stops.
By Air:- Naini Saini Airport in Pithoragarh is the nearest airport(125km) but the flights are not regular. Pantnagar Airport is the second nearest airport to Munsiyari, at a distance of 370 km. One can take buses and taxis from the airport to reach Haldwani. Haldwani is 285.7 km away from Munsiyari via Berinag Rd.
