The settlement is located at an elevation of almost 2010 meters above sea level, 16 kilometers from Vijaypur and 46 kilometers from Bageshwar. By Road:- Chaukori is well connected to major towns in northern India with motorable highways. ISBT Anand Vihar in Delhi has buses to Kathgodam and Almora. Taxis and buses to Chaukori are easily available from main Kumaon area locations like as Almora, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Kausani, Didihat, and others.

By Train:- The nearest railway station to Chaukori is 180 km away at Kathgodam. It is well-linked to major Indian cities such as Lucknow, Delhi, and Kolkata. Trains to Kathgodam are frequent since it is the gateway to the Kumaon area. From the Kathgodam railway station, buses and taxis are easily accessible to Chaukori.
