Which makes it one of the most visited sightseeing places in Nainital. If you look on the other side, you will see the helicopter view of Nainital city and Naini Lake.
If you reach Snow View Point by ropeway, the excitement increases manifold as while climbing, you get a better chance to gaze at the natural beauty. The picturesque landscape that this area displays is beyond words.
At the top of the SNOW VIEWPOINT, a large pair of binoculars is installed, allowing visitors to view the snow-capped peaks from close quarters. Zooming in, you will see a small temple wrapped in a blanket of snow with images of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshmana, Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Durga.

Gadhan Kunkyop Ling Gompa is a Tibetan monastery close to SNOW VIEW POINT which is a must-visit. Best Time to visit Snow View Point Nainital
Snow View Point offers excellent views from mid-March during summer. Clear blue skies and a pleasantly cool temperature between 10 degrees to 27 degrees make for a perfect time to witness the beauty of this place.
The sky remains clear most of the time even during the winter season, giving an equally spectacular view of the peaks. But the temperature can be chilly during the winter months starting from September. The temperature is usually between 0 degrees to 15 degrees.
It is better if you avoid visiting this place during monsoon as there is always a danger of landslides and clouds obstructing the view of the snowy peaks.
Entry Fees and Timings of Snow View Point Nainital
You can see the beauty of SNOW VIEW POINT without any entry fee. But, you will have to pay to reach there (via cab or ropeway).
SNOW VIEWPOINT is open from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM on all days of the week except Saturday.

How To Reach
By Air: The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport which is approximately 72 km from Mallital Mall Road. You can take a taxi cab from the airport to Mallital via NH 109.
By Train: The nearest railway station to Snow View Point is Kathgodam Railway Station at a distance of 35 km from Mallital Mall Road. You can hire a private taxi or bus from the railway station to reach Mallital. On reaching Mallital Mall Road, you can either hire a taxi cab or take the ropeway.
By Road: Cabs/taxis are available from Malital to Snow View Point. If you are with kids or senior citizens, this is the preferred way to reach this place.
