Dayara Bugyal Suggested Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Dehradun – Uttarkashi – Barsu – Barnala Tal Drive – 185kms | (Trek – 4kms)

The 5-6 hour trip runs through Mussoorie Bypass Road, which provides breathtaking vistas. While going near Chilianisaur, you can observe the enormous Tehri Dam Lake. It takes another hour and a half to drive from Uttarkashi to Barsu. If you leave Dehradun early, you should be able to begin walking from Barsu around 1 pm, after lunch.

The climb from Barsu to Barnala Tal is only 4 km long and progressively ascends in height. Barnala Meadows is only around a three-hour from Barsu. For the first 1.5 kilometers, the track is well-marked. Rhododendron plants abound in this area. Barnala Meadows, a few hundred meters before the Barnala Tal, has an excellent campground.

Day 02: Barnala Tal – Dayara Bugyal (Trek – 4kms, 3hrs)

Dayara Bugyal is 5 km from Barnala Tal, however, the shepherd huts of Dayara Bugyal are one kilometer before the Bugyal itself. If you are walking to Dayara Bugyal in the winter, camp near these shepherd huts because the upper levels of Dayara Bugyal are buried in 2-3 feet of snow. If you are trekking to Dayara Bugyal during the summer, you can go on to Dayara Bugyal and camp near a water source.

Day 03: Dayara Bugyal – Bakaria Top – Dayara Bugyal ( Trek – 4kms, 3hrs)

This trek’s most lovely day. Trek further to experience Dayara Bugyal’s lengths and breadths. You will be shocked at how different the common Dayara Bugyal looks from every angle. Follow a difficult ascent to the right to reach Bakaria Top (3810m), the highest point in the surrounding area. If you wish to view the stunning sunset from Bakaria Top, bring a packed lunch with you on your journey.

Day 04: Dayara Bugyal – Barnala Tal – Barsu – Uttarkashi – Dehradun ( Trek – 8kms | Drive – 185kms)

You do not want to miss the stunningly beautiful dawn at Dayara Bugyal. Bid farewell to the majestic Himalayan range and return to Barsu via Barnala Tal. You will be able to reach Barsu Village in 3 hours. Try to depart early, If you wish to drive all the way to Dehradun on this day.
