Dhanaulti is a tranquil hill station, situated at the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range. It is 115 km from New Tehri and 60 km from Mussoorie. It is one of the most visited tourist places in Uttarakhand, which offers mesmerizing views of the lofty Himalayas.

Places To Visit In Dhanaulti

Aalu Khet(Potato Farm)

It is one of the best places to visit in Dhanaulti. The farm is 2 km from the Dhanaulti bus station.
 
From the farm, you will get a bird’s eye view of the Doon Valley. You can take a walk through the lush green meadows of the farms or hire horses to explore this picturesque spot. The famous potato farm is also known for photogenic sunsets.
 
The farm remains open from 9 am to 5 pm and the entry fee is Rs. 25 for adults and Rs. 10 for kids

Dhanaulti Eco Park

Eco park is spread over an area of 13 hectares, and it is 500 m from the Dhanaulti bus stand and 57 km from the Mussoorie. It is one of the most visited tourist places. The Eco park is divided into two forests named Amer and Dhara which are located at a distance of 200 meters from each other.
 
At Eco Park, you can enjoy adventure sports including sky walking, flying fox, and rock climbing. The best time to visit the eco-park is during the sunrise and sunset as you will get a mesmerizing view at the time.

Park remains open from 9 am to 5 pm and the entry fee is Rs. 20 for adults and Rs. 10 for kids

Deogarh Fort

Deogarh Fort was built in the 16th century and is adorned with palaces and artistic Jain temples. The fort is one of the 52 Garhs or 52 forts in the Uttarakhand.
 
This is a must-visit if you are visiting Dhanaulti, Mussoorie. The interior of this massive fort houses several tourist attractions, including various palaces and magnificent Jain temples adorned with elaborate designs.

Kantal

If you want to enjoy your weekend in a peaceful place near Dehradun, Mussoorie then Kantal is the best place for you. It is a panoramic hill station, Dhanoti has abundant meadows, tall trees, mesmerizing views of the Himalayas, and scenic spots, making it one of the most beautiful places to visit.

Surkanda Devi Temple

Surkanda Devi temple is located in Kantal, Dhanaulti. Temple is 8 km from Dhanaulti and 22 Km from Chamba. To reach the temple you have to trek approx 3 Km from Kaddukhal.
 
Every year the Ganga Dussehra festival is celebrated between May and June and a large number of people visit the Surkanda Devi temple at that time.
 
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Sati, who is the wife of Lord Shiva and daughter of the god-king Daksha.

Kaudia Forest

Kaudi Forest is one of the most popular picnic spots and you can enjoy a 6 km trek or walk. The trek will pass through dense forests that open up into a vast expanse of rolling hills and valleys. On the way you will come across small, gurgling natural springs. You can also take a Jeep safari but for this, you have to take prior permission.

Kaudi Foresst remains open from 9 am to 5 pm and the entry fee is Rs. 20 per person.

From Delhi’s Kashmiri Gate, you must board a bus to Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Due to the lack of a direct bus service, you must first take a bus from Dehradun to Mussoorie, then another bus from Mussoorie to Dhanaulti, or you can take a taxi from Dehradun to Dhanaulti.
